Hey book lovers!!

I’m Jazmine, the proud owner of Better Than Therapy Booktique—and I’m so excited (and a little nervous!) to welcome you to our very first blog post. We’ve got a big moment coming up: our grand opening is May 3rd, and we’ll be opening the doors at Church & State (370 S 300 E, Salt Lake City, UT). I can’t wait to meet you in person and kick off this new chapter together!

Before the party starts, I wanted to introduce myself and share the heart behind BTT. This booktique started from my love of digging through bargain book piles and the belief that great stories should be affordable and easy to find. That little passion turned into something bigger—a shop made for readers who love finding hidden gems and saving a few bucks along the way.

The name? My partner came up with it during one of our book club nights, and it instantly stuck. It reminded me of that George R.R. Martin quote: “I have lived a thousand lives and I’ve loved a thousand loves. I’ve walked on distant worlds and seen the end of time. Because I read” That’s the magic of books—they comfort, heal, and let us live all kinds of lives. I wanted this store to feel like that kind of escape.
